Happy #5

William turned 5!  We had cupcakes for his official birth day.  He was happy to be five.  He can now run faster, buckle himself in his car seat, and is super excited about going to kindergarten in the fall.
Our five year old
I made him some angry birds for his birthday party.  It was fun making them.  The pig is my favorite.
Angry bird birthday cake.  He wanted white cake and vanilla ice cream
Birthday party kids lined up throwing angry birds at the pig and blocks.
We had William first official birthday party: the parents dropped off their kids and for two hours it was lots of fun.  We started by telling them the pigs stole their eggs.  They would build towers around the pig with blocks and then shoot the birds at them.  Then we went outside and they teamed up and carried balloons (eggs) filled with water (not real water balloons) from one end of the astro turf yard to the other.  Then we gave them the "eggs" to throw around.  Most were bouncing all over the place.  But when they broke there were squeals of joy.  Then we went inside and we hid Easter eggs for them to find.  They had fun looking all over for eggs.  Then William opened presents.  He had five candles on his cake and blew them out like a champ.  Then the kids played till parents came.  It was fun!

Blowing out the candles.
Happy Birthday William!  Can't believe he's five.
