This week has been exciting. Grandma and Grandpa Clarke have arrived to spend a few weeks in the sunshine with us. We have played at the trailer and they've come to visit us at our house. During homework time on Wednesday Maren slipped while climbing into her high chair and cut open her head. Grandpa and I took her to urgent care to patch it up and she now has two staples in her head. She was a brave little girl through it all, but is still trying to climb everything she can. The kids found a parakeet in the yard and kept it as a pet for a day. Then we asked our neighbors if it was theirs and they reluctantly took it back. We also had a roadrunner in our yard chasing the parakeet (bottom left of photo).
This morning we had a stake activity--a family 1 mile and 5k walk/run. John ran the 5k, I walked it (yes, 36 weeks pregnant and pushing the two girls!!) and William ran the 1 mile with his buddy Toby. We all finished and are doing fine! Maren had the hardest time. She patiently (as best as can a two year old) sat in the stroller for 58 minutes.
