Summer Adventure Part Four-Long Beach

We picked John up in Portland and headed north for the last part of our adventure.  We drove up the Oregon coast, crossed the bridge in Astoria and ended up on the Washington Coast.  Our first stop was Cape Disappointment.  We did a little hiking and made it to a lighthouse, and saw awesome views of the ocean.  Our second stop was Long Beach where we stayed at a beach house. We enjoyed one full day at the beach and it was a beautiful day!  I enjoyed a relaxing morning run, dodging dead crab body parts.  We played in the tide, building sand castles and watching them get washed away.  Body surfing was fun!  We took advantage of the wind and flew some kites too.  No one wanted to leave when it was time to go, but we had to come home.  We drove home via the scenic route and had lunch at Mount Rainier National Park.  We had a great summer adventure!!
