Thankful for November

We had a great November!  Two of the best holidays are this month: My Birthday and Thanksgiving (and this year they both happened on the same day!).  We started the month by going to John's Mother's Memorial in Monroe.  It was a beautiful celebration of her wonderful life.  She touched many people and was a kind and loving person.  We got to see lots of family, and meet family we hadn't met before.  We've been sick off and on for a couple of months now.  Everyone seems to want to share their germs.  Despite sickness we had a small window of wellness on Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends and I got lots of pie for my birthday.  A couple of days later we went downtown with the Barons and the kids participated in a nutcracker scavenger hunt.  We went to small businesses and got a stamp in our passport when we spotted the nutcracker hidden in each store.  Jacob is still spotting nutcrackers in our Christmas books at home.  Then we rode a horse drawn wagon and sang carols. We are thankful for family and friends!!
