Alsea Falls Camping Trip

We went camping at Alsea Falls here in Oregon. Very beautiful area. We camped with three other families from our ward--The Brewsters, Goebels, and Stevensons, all with kids close to William's age. It threatened rain but never did. John cooked dinner in our dutch oven and it was delicious. There was smores and other usual camping food. William loved the fact we were close to the river and had a great time playing in the dirt and hitting trees with sticks. He got to run around and scream and play with his friends. Brewsters have great ideas and at nightfall, all kids were tagged with a glow stick so we could see them. William chewed on one and we ended up with blue spots inside our tent--kinda cool. Breakfast was a smorgasborg of cinnamon rolls, pancakes, eggs and bacon. After we packed up we went for a hike to the falls. Both kids fell asleep on the hike back and we made it home scream fest free. Ashley was a great little camper and slept well, right next to mommy on the airmattress.

Bug in the eye! Bug in the Eye!!

Alsea Falls, Oregon.

All of us at the Falls!

It was a lot of fun and we hope to be able to do some more camping this summer.
