Our week was a very busy one. Lots happened and I'm going to try my best to remember. Here goes. John defended his PhD dissertation on Thursday. His presentation was awesome. Then he sat through two hours of hurt-the-brain questions. He passed and is now Dr. Clarke!! We are all very proud of him and all the work he has done. Grandparents Clarke were here for the defense and they took us out to dinner afterward to celebrate. Friday John gratefully took the day off and we went to the RV park and went swimming and hung out with Grandma and Grandpa. Saturday morning we ran/walked a 5K with the Brewsters and had a good time. William walked about two miles with Asher, then was pooped out and rode in the stroller the rest of the way. John ran the 5K and his time was 25:20. We went out to dinner with Emily that night to celebrate John's PhD. We went to the Woodsman. William couldn't sit still and Ash left covered in rice. Thank you Emily!

Last weekend we were offered a post-doc position at University of Arizona in Tucson and earlier this week we accepted the offer. J starts down there on July 5th. We'll be moving sometime in June and are excited to experience new adventures (though we'll miss all our friends here).
We also are happy to announce that baby Clarke #3 will be born around October 6, 2011. We surprised both grandparents with the news and then thought we'd tell the rest of the world. We are especially excited for a new baby and edition to our little family. The kids are kinda clueless. W says he doesn't want another sibling cuz he doesn't want him/her to wear the frog suit (his favorite Halloween costume)! ha ha We're not going to find out at the ultrasound what the sex of the baby is. We're going to wait till he/she is born. We're looking for unique names, so if you've any ideas you'd like to share, let us know.
Congratulations! That goes for the defense and the new baby! And the new job, and the move! What a lot of changes, but good changes. That's a quadruple congrats from us!
