Anderson Island

We just got back from a great trip to Anderson Island, WA. We picked up Aunt Amber from the airport on our way up, so she could spend a few days with us (she really needs to visit more). We camped along side Theresa and Greg, Phil and Pam, Andrew and Rebecca, with Grandparents Clarke just across the road in their camper (sorry for the screaming baby in the wee hours of the morning). We went swimming, water skiing, and tubing on the lake. We went to the Sound to find little crabs and then throw rocks in the water. John made an awesome Dutch Oven blueberry cobbler and Phil was inspired to bring vanilla ice cream. We rode a ferry boat to and from the island and Amber counted well over 40 jelly fish. During campfire one night William sang "Latter-Day Prophets" all by himself. On the way home we took a small side trip to the Jackson Historic Site (we were aiming for the Lewis and Clark State Park, but didn't drive far enough I guess). We dropped Amber off at the airport and then dropped in to see our wonderful friends--Zach, Brindy, Hyrum and Lyra! It was a great trip, especially in our new air condintioned van!! Now we just need to endure the really hot days we're having (107 today!)
