February started off with a bang of Valentines. The kids and Mom mad a valentine for each member of Uncle Stan's platoon in Iraq. We had fun gluing, sticking and coloring.
Then sicknesses occurred and this is a picture of the kids after being couped up in the house for too long.
We made apple pie for Sunday dessert. The kids rolled their own pieces of dough and made little pies with blueberries.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! William was so excited to play in the snow today! He and Emma went sledding and had so much fun. He was pretty tired, but kept asking if he could go back outside and play with all his friends and the snow. He and Dad made a small snowman before Dad went to work.
Ash wasn't sure how to play in the snow. But she did keep her hat on the whole time. Thanks Emily for one that velcros under her chin. She had fun towards the end and I had to drag her in the house kicking and screaming.
That's been our fabulous February! John is winding down his PhD. His defense date is scheduled for April 28th and we are excited. He's put out a few applications and has communicated with a few PIs regarding Post-Docs. We are looking forward to the next big adventure and Mom hopes it's somewhere WARM!
They call McCook the "hotspot" of Nebraska!!! (But I won't hold my breath:) Cute pictures and best of luck with that defense John!
